Job Details:
SUMMARY
- This positions is responsible for the management of our Global carrier routing guide and procurement solutions.
- Develop, report, maintain routing guide metrics/goals for Global Tyson transportation
- Approve/reject routing guide adjustment requests based on customer needs and total company goals
- Identifying, prioritizing, analyzing, and eliminating losses and inefficiencies
- Proactive risk mitigation associated with Global transportation routing guide and capacity issues raised by key stakeholders
- Reporting routing guide activity
- Maintenance and structure adherence
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure risk management and contingency planning related to trends and threats impacting Global transportation and Global BUs
- Models the Tyson values and culture. Builds strong relationships and trust with internal and external team members and business partners. Creates discipline and focus around developing talent, building talent pipeline and fostering environment that empowers team members.
- Deliver the financial plan. Position is responsible that all team leaders have clearly defined responsibilities and understand their specific roles to achieve service and financial goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired while earing a Bachelors degree or equivalent. Bachelors preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of supply chain/transportation experience.
- Computer Skills: Versed in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and various supply chain operating systems
- Communication Skills: Mid to Senior level management written, presentation and verbal skills.
- SUPERVISORY: none
TRAVEL: Minimal travel required – 2-3 domestic trips annually
