Overview:
We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Roadway Project Manager/Engineer for our transportation practice in our Tampa office. We're seeking interested candidates to lead design teams to perform roadway engineering design and project management tasks.
Responsibilities:
The person selected for this role will perform roadway engineering and project management tasks for private and public sector clients. The candidate will develop concepts, preliminary engineering and final design for projects. Tasks include but are not limited to; developing geometric alignments, profiles, modeling, typical cross sections, grading design, drainage, superelevation, construction details, work zone traffic control, design report writing, and signing and striping plans. In addition, this role will assist in managing projects and mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • E.I.T/P.E. License in FL desired or ability to obtain within 1 year
  • 3+ years of experience with roadway/highway and urban street design
  • Municipal and/or FDOT experience desirable
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies
  • Experience preparing final design plans, specifications and construction cost estimates
  • Good problem solving and technical writing skills
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
