Job description

Begin your NHS career with our Healthcare Support Worker Development (HCSWD) programme, where you will receive all the training, support, and supervision you need to become a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW).

Ravenswood House is in Knowle, Fareham, and is for people with serious mental illness and/or personality disorder who need to receive their care in a low or medium secure environment. Most of the patients have either committed a criminal offence or have challenging behaviour. They admit patients from high secure hospitals, local psychiatric hospitals, prisons and the courts.

Some wards help people who are acutely unwell, such as intensive care areas for those needing specialist and intensive support. This type of care is primarily provided on Malcolm Faulk ward

Other wards, such as Mary Graham and Lyndhurst wards provide ongoing treatment and assessment and Meon Valley ward supports patients who will require a long stay. Ashurst ward focuses on rehabilitation and is used before discharge into the community or a different service.

Please find out more about Ravenswood at the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust Website.
