Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Tractor Trailer Mechanic. The Tractor Trailer Mechanic will maintain a fleet of tractor and trailers. As well as keep operational and up to date on DOT requirements.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• 1 year of experience and/or familiarity with repairing and maintaining
• Has an operational process/system aptitude
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with similar equipment preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• Performs basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs to all types of equipment; documents equipment status before and after rental (including work order detail during repair), communicates equipment issues to customers, foreman, and supporting mechanics
• Performs Yard operations, loads and unloads equipment, performs check-in inspections and fuels equipment as needed
• Assists with parts inventory and assists with creating warranty claims for the equipment serviced, as needed
• Commissions new equipment to prepare it to be ready to rent
• Documents projects to include daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, JSS, JSA, etc.
• Disposes of hazardous materials in a responsible and safe fashion in accordance with company policy
• Adheres to all safety standards as prescribed by Sunbelt management
• Other duties as assigned by the manager

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
