We have an excellent opportunity for a talented investment analyst who is looking to be involved in a variety of tasks and enjoys being challenged. This position is a core member of our Investment and Operations teams and will support our internal Portfolio Strategists, conduct capital market research, perform external manager due diligence, trade internal models, create investment proposals for wealth management clients/prospects, and provide operational support.
Primary Objectives:
- Support the Investment Committee and Asset Allocation functions
- Support the firm’s trading and transactional activity within the firm
- Serve as point-person for generation of investment proposals for clients and prospects
- Ensure the decisions and initiatives effectuated by the IC/PM teams are executed appropriately throughout the firm’s client base, as appropriate
- Ensure that Dakota’s rebalancing and trading activities are being executed accurately, efficiently, and effectively
- Support Operations and Compliance departments with data and information required regarding Trade Blotter and Holdings/Transaction Review, in a proactive manner
Specific Responsibilities of the Job:
- Develop, execute, and refine recurring analytics and reporting to advance Investment Team decision-making related to portfolio management.
- Work directly with Advisors as a member of the Portfolio Consulting Team developing holdings, tax and performance analysis
- Execute, and reconcile firm security trading for strategy and individual/unique trade activity
- Become “Power User” of firm software in Research, Trading and Execution to provide trade and portfolio/account analytic support to the Investment Committee, and firm’s Advisors
- Monitor Proprietary strategies portfolios to ensure proper alignment and tolerance to their mandate, restrictions, and other unique circumstances
- Develop deep beneficial relationships with custodian providers to ensure timely, accurate and efficient trade execution
- Participate in investment meetings and discussions
- Compile weekly high-level recap and highlight of firm’s trading activity
- Envision, plan, create, execute and maintain a documented process and system for utilizing Tamarac’s rebalancing functionality
