Job Summary:

Sun Title is currently looking to fill 2 Post Closing Disbursement Specialist roles (1 in Grand Rapids, Michigan - 1 in Ionia, Michigan). As a Post Closing Disbursement Specialist, you will review the entire closing file for accuracy and completeness and will be responsible for the final completion of the transaction including scanning documents, confirming all disbursements are completed, and finalizing and outstanding items.

While previous title, escrow, or disbursements experience is helpful, we are willing to train a candidate who has a strong accounting background and high attention to detail. The Post Closing Team provides support to the Escrow Department by assisting with the disbursement duties of the file after the transaction has closed and funded.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be a living example of Sun Title’s mission, vision, and values
• Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers, as well as verification of funds
• Conduct quality control checks on physical files in order to send out payoffs and lender packages
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, required
• 1-2 years related experience, preferred
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow title/industry
• Valid licensing/certification as required by applicable state law
• Intermediate level computer proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) as well as industry specific software (ResWare)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
