PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This short-term respite facility provides 1:1 care for young persons with developmental disability(ies) and/or significant behavioral challenges.

The goal of this respite site is to act as a safe landing place for youth whose needs are making it difficult for them to remain at home with their families.

As a staff member, you can expect to support the youth staying with us with all of their daily activities, to the extent appropriate depending on their needs and abilities. Some youth may need help choosing appropriate clothing for the weather, or reminders to complete daily hygiene tasks; other youth may be completely independent in self-care but require extra support to safely participate in activities around peers.

If an individual is staying with us during the school year, and they are of school age, you may need to support them while they complete a modified curriculum.

It is important to note that our support style will be focused on voice and choice for the individuals we serve. Regardless of their level of needs, we aim to respect those we serve and provide them the environment they need to be successful!
