Purpose


Responsible for system support activities related to process design, configuration, and interface development for Personnel Administration payroll and benefits processes. Works with other Personnel Administration technical support team members, business process owners, and third party vendors to understand ongoing business requirements (changes, modifications, improvements), ensures overall system integrity, enhances business relationships, and facilitates issue resolution. This position is based in Portland, ME, on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities


MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops operational and technical solutions to meet ongoing end user requirements for payroll and benefits support.

2. Provides timely and accurate solutions, ensuring interface and overall data and process integrity.

3. Prepares documentation for approved changes and implements changes as required.

4. Coordinates and works with various teams to accomplish objectives.

5. Provides end user support as required, including user requests from the service desk.

6. Coordinates application of vendor support patches and upgrades, coordinates/performs unit and quality testing.

7. Identifies opportunities for new/improved solutions.

8. Serves as Liaison to Third-Party Vendors.

9. Leads/manages small sized projects.

10. Ensures adherence to cyber security and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) protocols and requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Computer science, Information Systems or a related field, with at least three years' relevant SAP or business system experience.
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration with at least 3 years' relevant SAP or business system experience.
  • Ten years’ of business system experience with at least 3 years providing SAP business system support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various software solutions: BSI Tax, SAP PY, SAP Benefits modules and other corporate systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience safeguarding sensitive data.


Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to grasp new concepts and to resolve complex system problems quickly.
  • Able to become Subject Matter Expert with deep and broad knowledge of Personnel Administration philosophy, strategy, and processes.
  • Able to present recommendations and/or decisions with persuasive clarity and transparency.
  • Able to build effective relationships with key stakeholders locally and globally both internal and external.
  • Strong ability to work with others to design effective process/system solutions.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management principles, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to speak fluent English is required, ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Very skilled with MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
