JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Technical Specialist oversees technical aspects of the area, providing the expertise required to maintain precise and accurate determinations. The Technical Specialist works in a daily, operational testing environment and is responsible for the researching of new tests within the specific areas of his or her expertise, the application of these tests, and the adoption to routine performance.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science OR 4 year undergraduate degree with post baccalaureate certification in Clinical Laboratory Science. Cytogenetics Technologist certification for cytogenetics. Histotechnologist certification for Histology. Cytotechnologist certification for Cytology.
