THE POSITION

Please Note: This position is Hybrid with the ability to work remotely 3-4 days/week

This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your advanced experience leading agile DevOps teams in a senior leadership role within the Information Technology Services department for Washington County. The Technical Services Manager for Enterprise Applications leads and manages IT Services sections responsible for strategy, architecture, development, implementation, operation and support of ERP, other enterprise applications, analysis and reporting tools, and databases that underpin them. Management responsibilities include leadership of other IT leaders and participation in enterprise security and strategic initiatives. The TSM-EA provides complex staff assistance to the Deputy Chief Information Officer and the CIO as a key member of the ITS Leadership Team.

The Ideal Candidate:
The TSM-EA is a senior leader with deep technical experience managing other leaders in IT. Known for being a servant leader, the TSM-EA is also a subject matter expert in all areas, who would rather impart knowledge to others rather than fixing the problem themselves. Possessing the ability to develop compelling strategies and architect elegant solutions, particularly when it comes to development, operation and support of software both on premise and in the cloud, is a must in this role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree program from an accredited institution of higher education; AND six (6) years of work experience in a complex enterprise computing environment which includes at least two (2) years of work experience in a supervisory or lead role. OR
  • An Associate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree program from an accredited institution of higher education; AND eight (8) years of work experience in a complex enterprise computing environment which includes at least two (2) years of work experience in a supervisory or lead role. OR
  • High School Diploma/GED; AND ten (10) years of work experience in a complex enterprise computing environment which includes at least two (2) years of work experience in a supervisory or lead role.

Management, Administrative and Professional Personnel System (MAPPS) - FLSA exempt employees are paid on a salaried basis. The premise of salaried/exempt employment is that established compensation recognizes the time and effort needed to accomplish all assigned job duties. Job responsibilities may require work outside of the employee's standard work week or a work week in excess of 40 hours.

This position is not represented under a collective bargaining agreement.

Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following employment. Job share employees are responsible for 50% of the premium. Part-time regular, variable hour, and temporary positions are not eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
