Our Mississippi PET manufacturing facility, located on the beautiful Gulf Coast, in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi is seeking a Technical Manager.


Position Summary:

The Technical Manager is responsible for providing technical expertise and managing site technical functions to achieve business objectives.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive site’s Process Safety Management programs and assure compliance to all elements
  • Develop strategic plan, set direction and establish priorities for the technical group
  • Provide leadership for technical solutions to site operational issues and provide troubleshooting support
  • Develop, prioritize, and drive continuous improvement activities for the site processes and systems
  • Develop and complete capital projects for the site and drive compliance capital investment process
  • Participate and support shutdown activities and contribute to the decision making process
  • Utilize analytics capability to drive a data driven approach to problem solving .
  • Lead and participate in incident and root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support development of new products working corporate group
  • Coach, mentor and develop technical group
  • Support technical training activities at the site
  • Accountable for site control systems
  • Prepare department annual budgets and actively manage costs to meet budget objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • BS or MS Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in chemical manufacturing in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good experience with Capital Project Management.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Results oriented - ability to translate key area and business needs into the right priorities and actions.
