Description/Job Summary
This position supports the work we do with the Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office’s (IEDO) Technical Assistance and Workforce Development program, which advances innovation in technologies and the adoption of practices to enable the industrial sector to cost-effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The program provides technical assistance and develops partnerships with industry to upskill workers and promote better energy management practices. These efforts focus specifically on increasing the adoption of energy efficient practices, decarbonization technologies, energy management programs, and water and waste reduction strategies across the industrial sector. The program also supports workforce training and upskilling activities that prepare existing workers and attract a diverse mix of new workers to the industrial jobs of today and the future.

Position Responsibilities
  • Assist IEDO staff with project management, performance monitoring, budget formulation, documentation, and progress assessment.
  • Support the development, coordination, and management of competitive solicitations and merit reviews.
  • Assist with workforce development activities.
  • Tracking milestones and progress of program activities toward meeting key performance expectations.
  • Support cross-office engagement with non-IEDO technology offices, as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher – engineering or technical degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in a government environment.
  • Very good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to schedules.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple long- and short-term projects and competing priorities.
  • US citizen.
