Role Summary

Become one of the authors of our story. Join our team as Talent & Culture Coordinator and Accounts Payable Clerk at the Goldener Hirsch Hotel, in Park City, Utah. Reporting to the Manager of Talent & Culture and Director of Finance, you will be responsible for supporting the work of the Talent & Culture department and owning the accounts payable process.

Core Responsibilities

Here at Auberge, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. The expectation for this role is that 2-3 days a week would be spent on accounts payable and 2-3 days a week working on talent & culture projects. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

Talent & Culture

  • Ensure our Talent & Culture policies and processes are adhered to and continually improved.
  • Assist in all activities concerning sourcing & recruitment, performance management, discipline, and general administration.
  • Implement policies and procedures on compensation and benefits.
  • Assist in communication of key messages to all team members. Promote team communication activities and channels, to encourage and enable feedback.
  • Coordinate all matters of staff accommodation, facilities, and transport.

Accounts Payable

  • Track purchase orders and process payments from suppliers or customers.
  • Understand expense accounts and cost centers
  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
  • Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
  • Participate in Month End duties as it relates to Accounts Payable functions

Required Qualifications

Talent & Culture

Prior work experience in the Human Resources department

A detailed and up-to-date understanding of state (Utah) and federal labor law.

Familiarity with using HRIS systems, preferably Ceridian Dayforce.

Efficiency and Time Management skills

A love of the mountains and an outdoors, adventurous lifestyle.

Accounts Payable

Proficiency in English and in MS Office

Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

System knowledge of Great Plains preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Experience working in a luxury hotel setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
