PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for day-to-day work order assignments from Leader and Supervisor of work center.

Execute FAC product manufacturing and systems business requirements by mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, pneumatic assembly, process installation, robot zone assembly and robot testing. Technicians are assigned based on skills, competency, availability, attitude, and past achievements. Utilize technical skills (Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Computer) and product knowledge to deliver orders that meet customer delivery expectations for P-series products with zero defects.

Assignments are dependent on skills, competencies, knowledge and experience from training, educational courses, certificates, and past employment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Ability to read prints mechanical, electrical, pneumatic

· Ability to use tools applicable to skill sets for mechanical, electrical and pneumatic

· Work to Supervisor and leader direction for daily requirements

· Manufacturing Productivity – Know work order schedule, strive to achieve schedule, and immediately raise issues to leader and supervisor

· Attitude - Individuals approach to daily activities with a positive attitude and open communications with all people.

· Availability - Make every effort to be available on the job and be open to work over-time as needed to meet customer requirements.

· Achievements – Have examples showing certifications, degrees, and work experience for area of interest: mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, pneumatic assembly, robot build and test

· Process– Work to processes, complete work to quality specifications and complete quality documents as required by Control Plans.

· Employee Training – Complete and provide feedback regarding training

· Follow FANUC 5S approach to managing work area daily

· Safe Work Environment – Know and adhere to Personal Protective Equipment in work area.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

* Strong interpersonal skills, working directly with people.

* Skills and competency for work center for area skill sets, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and test

* Communication skills - ability to provide clear verbal direction to others, listens carefully, write accurately and clearly.

* Good attitude, availability and achievements required for work center

* Certain work centers require technician to provide their own tooling

2. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

* Related Certification and/or Associate degree in a technical discipline or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

* Prefer one- two years’ experience in manufacturing for mechanical assembly, electrical assembly and wiring, pneumatic assembly and testing

* Knowledge and exposure to FANUC Paint Series Products and/or Systems automation experience preferred.

3. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY

* Position involves signification amount of walking on manufacturing floor or customer sites.

* Must be able to operate robots and computer equipment.

4. VISUAL ACUITY, HEARING, SPEAKING

* Good visual acuity, hearing and speaking ability required.

5. ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULING

* Most assignments occur at FAC Rochester Hills Head quarters (clean, well lit, and air-conditioned), however business requirement may necessitate assignments at remote locations.

* Willing to work extended overtime when required to meet special deadlines in response to customer requirements, covering multiple shifts.

* Second shift may be required to meet production demands.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
