We have an open position for Systems Engineer - Requirements & Modeling Engineer to support our Army program in Killeen TX. (with a hybrid of both in office and remote work)

The person in this role will be supporting model Based Systems Engineering processes and best practices to the development of requirements, designs, plans, and reports in a manner tailored to the timely development and successful demonstration of a prototype test environment for Integrated Air and Missile Defense Operational Tests. This engineer will utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools & methodology to enable effective and efficient engineering of the AOTI project. Reports to Systems Engineering Lead. Work location is in Killeen, TX. (With a hybrid of both in office and remote work)

Duties: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Install, configure, and apply Model Based Systems Engineering processes and toolsets to build and analyze comprehensible, commonly available engineering models of functional and non-functional requirements, architectures, and designs, use cases and test cases, and other SE artifacts. Work with software and other engineers to implement, integrate, verify, and validate solutions based on these models.

Coordinate with program management personnel to prioritize work IAW programmatic and technical objectives.

Elicit requirements from customers to understand test mission needs and gaps; develop system requirements and designs; plan and conduct verification and validation of developed resources; plan for and execute transition of capabilities to customers.

As required, model legacy engineering artifacts in MBSE tools to ensure consistency across all areas of engineering concern (e.g., mission and user requirements, system functions and qualities, and architectural and design components) and to enable rapid, efficient access to engineering data and information.

Coordinate with RTC customer representatives to develop engineering plans, architectures and designs, and other artifacts.

Required Qualifications:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience defining operational concepts, system architectures, and associated needed operational capabilities as well as deriving system and subsystem level requirements.

Experience identifying project tasks and developing project schedules in MS Project

4+ years of experience performing the duties described above

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering or related).

Active DoD Secret Clearance or U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is required

Light travel may be required.

Desired Qualifications:

Background in aviation, communication, sensor, cyber, unmanned air/ground, and/or missile systems testing.

Experience with MBSE tools, especially Magic Draw or Cameo.

Graduate degree in engineering from an accredited school.

Experience with high-level programming languages, or scripting languages.

INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification

Object Management Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder certification.

Experience in either Developmental or Operational Testing
