Description:

The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is looking for world class talent in Systems Engineering to be a part of a team that will carry on our 75 year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

The selected candidate will join a Systems Engineering team responsible for driving the development of Mission Systems capabilities. The selected candidate will work with customers, stakeholders, and capability providers to capture and refine requirements and to maintain the System Architecture Model. The selected candidate will support all aspects of design, development, integration, test, and delivery of new and updated capabilities.

For this position, a background in software engineering, architecture frameworks, MBSE, and Agile requirements management is highly desirable. Candidate must be open-minded to embracing new approaches to continuously integrating, testing, and delivering mission systems relative to legacy waterfall programs. An ideal candidate will be familiar with or interested in gaining familiarity with the Open Mission Systems (OMS) standard and the fundamentals of Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) as it applies to System of Systems development. Candidate must have strong technical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will need to pass a security screening as part of the interview process. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in an Engineering/Technical discipline with 5 years of professional experience (or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree).

  • Experience with software architecture design, development and deployment.

  • Ability to decompose complex problems into simple components or executable components.

  • Experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle and implementing MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) across hardware and software.

  • Familiarity with developing system block diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams and interface specifications

  • Experience building and communicating technical and/or functional roadmaps

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across teams

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Security clearance (with Interim Secret clearance to start)

  • Experience coordinating integration activities between distributed groups of users and test communities

  • Ability to solve problems at a networked system-of-system level

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
