Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems engineering position effecting all of NAVAIR through leading edge systems engineering. A unique opportunity leading NAVAIR into the future of systems engineering.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide programmatic and technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern complex systems; and to employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems and when appropriate, conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
4649 Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline and 14 years of recent and relevant experience or a MS or MA degree plus 10 years of experience.
Active Secret security clearance.
At least 10 years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, 3 of which must be directly related to naval systems.
Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise is required.
Desired Skills:
Defense Acquisition University graduate.
Digital Engineering / MBSE experience.
Systems engineering expertise to operate and apply SysML modeling tools including Sparx EA, MajicDraw and Rhapsody.
The ability to develop modeling methodologies (based in such disciplines as Object-Oriented System.
Engineering Method (OOSEM), Rational Unified Processes for Systems Engineering (RUP-SE), Harmony–SE, Jet Propulsion Lab State Analysis (JPL SA), etc.) to meet the needs of emerging programs and the needs of existing programs.
