Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a goal-oriented Systems Engineer to become a member of the Systems Engineering & Integration Team.

As a Systems Engineer, you will:

• Support the Flight Test Evaluation organization in analyzing flight test data, identifying trends, drawing conclusions, and presenting flight test results to internal and external organizations

• Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans

• Ensure coordination across systems, within SEIT organization, co-contractors, and Navy partners

• Support Ad hoc tasking by functional Leaders

YOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:

• 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree. Or 3+ years with a Master's degree.

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering, math, physics or other related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and/or draw conclusions

• Strong writing skills, including ability to explain analysis results in reports and/or chart briefs

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

• Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

• Basic understanding of Classical Mechanics

• Strong math skills, to include vector algebra, coordinate transforms, etc.

• Strong verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with team members, management, and customer

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Experience working in a classified environment

• Working knowledge of D5 missile

• Experience with Failure Analysis methods (Fault Tree, Fishbone, etc.)

• Ability/willingness to take on rotating role of Task Force Chairperson, which involves leading the analysis for a specific flight test and coordinating all aspects of an investigation

• Experience with MATLAB/STK/Python

• Understanding of telemetry systems

• Attention to detail, to ensure effective editing of team members’ work

• Active Top Secret clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
