The Vehicle Software and Telematics team are looking for an energetic, organized, and passionate System Validation Engineer to join our growing team. Our mission in the Vehicle Software and Telematics’ team is to improve safety and increase productivity for business owners, fleet managers, and drivers by delivering innovative purpose-built solutions using vehicle, business, and 3rd party data. This allows Mullen to help our customers attain their sustainability goals and digitally transform their business simultaneously.

Description:

The System Validation Engineer will be involved from the beginning of the development life cycle. Responsible for building test cases that assure software (SW) and hardware (HW) issues are surfaced early in the design process. Having experience in software verification projects and delivering production software releases a plus. You will join an enthusiastic team to deliver high-quality, robust software through collaboration and testing.

Responsibilities:

· Setup and maintenance of test environments for test system for the purpose of development / calibration / verification of controls software.

· Analysis of device under test (electronic modules) interfaces for determination of equivalency of connection for emulation of sensors and actuation. Design of methods to interface test system to device under test.

· Creation of model logic for protection of test equipment and DUT against abuse scenarios.

· Manage model updates across vehicle subcomponent systems to support model upgrades and/or issue fixes.

· Coordinate with suppliers any necessary updates to test systems based on future needs and productivity enhancements.

· Utilization of product life management tool to manage test cases, review status, requirement coverage, and test results.

· Ensures all system features are validated through technical reviews and analyzing system requirements

· Develop and maintain automated and manual test cases

· Track, record, report and analyze test results and drive steps from defect to resolution.

· Supports Identification and documentation of the testing environment, plan, and strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor - Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, Systems and Control Engineering

· 8 years of system validation experience with HIL environment for automotive production programs

· Knowledgeable in scripting languages (Matlab m-script, Python, etc.), calibration and vector measurement tools

· Knowledge of Embedded Systems, Microcontroller

· Ability to maintain project timing and meet goals on time, ownership of assigned tasks.

· Good verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.

· Ability to work with minimum supervision.

· Manage considerable complexity and multiple tasks.

Bonus Points

· Experienced with automotive or safety critical embedded software development and testing methods.

· Experienced with development requirements management and development traceability tools

· Experienced with software quality/safety methods and procedures (Automotive Spice, ISO26262).

· Knowledgeable in Hardware in the loop (HIL) testing hardware, configuration, and setup and/or knowledgeable in measurement equipment configuration and setup.

· Prior EV production program experience.

· Prior Telematics end to end validation experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,197.74 - $96,582.23 per year
