SSI needs to add a Systems Administrator to support our current list of services provided for the U.S. Navy, Surface Missile Technical Representative Office, Tucson Arizona.

Provide on-site technical support of the hardware, software, and LAN systems of the Tech Rep office. The office contains about 50 computer stations each with IBM compatible microcomputers with local and networked printers. The Administrator will also provide technical support to offsite personal in Alabama, and Arkansas as required. The Tech Rep organization is a modified Navy Marine Corp Internet (NMCI) environment.

Primary Functions:

• Provide identification and short-term resolution for hardware, software, and LAN problems.
• Report Tech Rep external network issues to NMCI.
• Analyze and recommend commercially available hardware and software packages for future needs of the customer.
• Shall set up utility programs for data manipulation and peripheral interface.
• Provide end-user orientation and refresher training for hardware and software packages.
• Inspect, install, test, configure, and maintain new hardware and software packages for Tech Rep office.
• Provide telecommunication equipment and services for Tech Rep office.
• Configure the file structure for all required directories/subdirectories and user permissions.
• Standardize all network connected PCs for the Tech Rep office.
• Provide access to the Open Secure Storage Area and ensure availability of classified thin client\VTC equipment located within.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems. 3 years professional experience in systems administration.
• U.S. Citizenship
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Must obtain and maintain at a minimum a U.S. DoD SECRET Clearance or the preferred, U.S. DoD TOP SECRET throughout employment.
