Title:
Systems Engineer (Mid-Level)KBR is looking for the right candidate to fill the need for a Mid-Level Systems Engineer. This position is located in the KBR office in Niceville, FL.
Responsibilities Include:
- Analysis and reporting of overall system performance of Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) Flight Tests, which also involves the planning and execution phases of flight and ground tests
- Applying engineering knowledge and specialized technical training to the system performance evaluation of the AMRAAM missile to include all phases of flight from pre-launch to intercept and includes all subsystems of the missile: aircraft interface and data link, power, propulsion, inertial navigation system, guidance, autopilot, radar and seeker, and fuzing
- Writing, reporting, and advising on hardware and software anomalies observed during flight test analysis for use to highlight areas for future development
- Performing anomaly investigations and comparative analysis, as required
- Supporting our customer in meetings and presentations when required
- Understanding the application of computer tools and analysis aids necessary for full analysis and reporting
Requirements:
- A current active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Engineering degree i.e. Systems, Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical preferred)
- 2 to 3 years of experience
- Programming ability is desired (C/C++, Fortran, Matlab)
- Familiarity with Linux command line and scripting
- Familiarity with Excel and Access Query building
- Highly motivated and an ability to work well with others as a team
- Some travel may be required
- Aircraft Integration or Flight Test experience desired
