Premise offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-driven career opportunities. We are currently looking for a Swim Coach to teach 1-2 classes per week. Join our Premise Health Corporate Fitness team at the Chick-fil-A Headquarters in College Park, GA.

About the role: Primary responsibilities will be to provide fun and safe swim instruction to adult swimmer from beginner to advanced capabilities. Instruction will be provided one on one or in small group instruction.
The Swim Coach will lead a weekly class, providing a lap swimming workout and giving feedback on improving participant’s swimming form. Participants attending the class may be training for a triathlon, looking for no-impact exercise while recovering from an injury, or want a great lap swimming pool workout. All participants will know how to swim prior to attending this class. Classes will take place at the Woodward Academy.
Essential Functions:

• Plans and delivers a quality swim session appropriate for adults of all swim levels that includes use of kickboard and swim buoy and a variety of swim strokes and drills.
• Gives swim participants feedback on technique and swim form.
• Takes attendance at all classes and report to Fitness Center Manager participation and outcomes.
• Notifies Fitness Center Manager of any anticipated dates off or if unable to make a scheduled session as well as notify participants who signed up for the session.
• Maintains and ensures a safe swim environment for all class participants by adhering to the site-specific safety and injury prevention procedures.
• Completes all assigned trainings and maintain all mandatory credentials required for this job providing updated records to the Fitness Manager.
• Works with Fitness Center Manager identify, order and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Works with Fitness Center Manager address customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.

Job Requirements:
Education:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Current CPR/AED certification (hands on program required)
• First Aid Certification. Certification must include “hands-on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor.
• Recommended/not required: USA Swimming Coaches certifications, and/or American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of proven instruction experience coaching aquatic/swim programs and/or events.
• Preferred: 1 year+ Competitive individual swim or swim team participant.
