Position: AZ - Surgical Technologist- Days

Location: Tuba City, AZ 86045

Working Hours: Days (0630-1700) , 13 weeks , 40 hour Per week

SUMMARY

Certified Surgical Technologists are health care professionals who provide surgical care to the patients. First Assistants work under the direct supervision of surgeons to help the effective and safe conduct of intrusive surgical procedures. First Assistants possess proficiency in the theory as well as in the application of aseptic and sterile techniques. They combine the overall knowledge of surgical procedures, human anatomy, and implement technologies and tools to facilitate a health care professional’s performance of invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities:

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
• Helping provide great patient care.

Surgical Technologist Requirements:

• A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program and surgical technologist certification.
• Experience with instrumentation.
• Current BCLS.
• Strong understanding of surgical technology and surgical procedure.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Passionate about patient care.

Job Types: Contract, Travel nursing
