Job description
Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager and/or designee the primary duties would include, but not limited to utilizing Meditech ORM to schedule all surgical procedures, in accordance with physician preferences, physician block time, and practice protocols. Work with Service Leaders/CSTII to ensure accurate equipment and time necessary to perform procedure to maintain optimal patient flow. In addition this position will assist in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit. The Surgical Scheduler will act as lead for the OR secretary group.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent/Medical Terminology Course Completion or experience working with Medical Terminology required
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
