See Yourself as a Support Engineer I

Support Engineers handle technical requests and solve problems with Radian's applications as reported by end users and customers. Your primary responsibility is troubleshooting and resolving errors, and throughout this process you will log details, populate the knowledge base and provide customers with updates. When not fixing issues, you will assist other engineers by contributing to product development and improving processes.

  • Provide Support to our SaaS platform customers and delight them along the way.

  • Support application issues and outages through troubleshooting, creating enhancements, fixing Bugs and Defects.

  • Perform application monitoring for availability, performance and quality.

  • Participate in regular rotations for weekday and weekend on-call coverage, providing emergency support to our SaaS customers, or working with Ops team to coordinate incident communications.

  • Create and update documentation based on customer interactions.

Knowledge:

  • 2+ years of experience in a support or other service-oriented customer facing role.

  • You are experienced in managing cases throughout the entire support lifecycle from initial customer inquiry to triage and reproduction, writing bug reports for hand off to the development team, and case resolution.

  • You have experience being on-call and can jump into a complex situation and make sense of and communicate clearly to stakeholders what's going on.

  • You're comfortable using support platforms such as ZenDesk and Jira.


Skills and Abilities:

  • You are experienced in writing support content.

  • You are a natural communicator and delight in using those skills to help others.

  • You love exploring new technologies and figuring things out the hard way.

  • You enjoy solving many small problems per day.


Prior Work Experience

  • Technical: 1 - 3 years

Education and Credentials

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree, Concentration in Comp Science, Info Systems Mgt

  • Competitive Compensation: anticipated base salary/hourly rate from $52,200 to $85,800 based on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
