General Summary:
The Repacking Lead position leads and manages the tactical operations of the Supply Planning processes and provides strategic and network direction for Supply Planning functions; as well managing the specific capacity load leveling and planning activities for the Repack Network.
The management duties include inventory, exception management and production planning for the Repack Network. This role executes and assists in defining the strategic direction of Campbell Americas objectives in inventory coverage and customer fulfillment while optimizing manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation costs. This role manages the activities of the planning organization to drive change in advanced planning concepts, systems strategies, produce to demand manufacturing concepts and advanced inventory optimization techniques. This role ensures that the processes are developed and executed in a quality manner for the business units and all cost/service tradeoff options are considered to drive continual business improvement and TDC control. This role manages communication with Customer Service and Supply Chain leadership with inventory and service projections and works with Customer Service to proactively develop crises management strategies to resolve service issues regarding tactical inventory availability. This role is instrumental as the key interface with demand planning and Customer Logistics to manage the supply and service plan to meet the stated goals and objectives. The role drives alignment with cross-functional partners such as finance, commercialization, marketing, manufacturing, procurement, sales, and R&D to understand business needs and resolve issues regarding service, manufacturing, and strategic direction. Demonstrates a recognized expertise in their sector and channel specific markets.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Planning and Management - Manage monthly variations in demand and production and ensure that a root causal analysis is completed to develop and implement corrective actions and engage with Sales and Marketing to economically manage aging inventory.
  • Manage Brand Initiatives/Projects - Manage and assist the resources and requirements of the supply planning function on commercialization teams, including managing the supply position on new item launches, reformulations, label transitions, TDC initiatives, product discontinuances, and scenario planning regarding start up inventory strategies.
  • Customer Service - Ensure that planning techniques and strategies are in place and managed appropriately to meet / surpass all customer service metrics, both at the aggregate level and at identified customer segmentation levels. Manage the supply planners toward developing the best practices toward customer service targets.
  • Development of WHQ Planning Team - Take a leadership role in the development of their WHQ Repack planning department personnel as it relates to the utilization of and expertise in all planning tools, including but not limited to SAP and Envision to ensure that all personnel are striving for and achieving world class excellence in supply planning.
  • Distribution Planning and Management - Develop and manage distribution and deployment strategies to optimally maintain inventory levels at all distribution facilities while ensuring attainment of the lowest landed cost while meeting or exceeding customer service metrics.
  • Capacity Planning - Synchronizes and optimizes the plan parameter settings that impact the plans performance and output of the capacity plan. This process is a complex understanding of the solution technology capabilities, industry best practices, and the business processes of Campbell Soup. Takes a proactive role in running scenarios to develop the lowest inventory position while maintaining customer service levels, prebuild requirements, capacity limitations, and transportation expense targets. Manages weekly capacity planning activities in CNA including management of key master data inputs (rates, production calendars, sourcing, production cycles, etc.). Provides key inputs to the AOP and financial projection process including projected production, inventory and interplant movements. Proactively manages and balances financial, inventory and service risks. Proactively identifies cost and inventory improvement opportunities and supports delivery of the overall Network Optimization enabler plan

Job Complexity:
  • Balancing demand plans with the supply capability. The job holder needs to determine risks and capabilities of product supply. The position controls the supply product flow and scheduling exceptions.
  • Ability to interpret complex data as it relates to issue at hand and to provide analysis in a meaningful format. Should have the tenacity to provide a thorough situation analysis and strive for alternative recommendations.
  • Must be able to address planning/forecasting related issues that the manufacturing facilities or stakeholders bring forward. Involves identifying there is actually a problem and the best course of actions to address any issues.
  • This position must be highly skilled to be able to work between and within numerous platforms to obtain all required information to manage the business, e.g., SAP, WMS, and reporting tools.
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop product launch timelines and plant/re-packer capabilities to meet start ship dates.
Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Logistics, Operations Management, Business or equivalent work experience in supply chain capacity planning.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant supply chain experience required
  • High level of expertise in SAP planning and scheduling tools including APO and PPDS preferred
  • Ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals.
  • Autonomous with superior attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various functions and levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to train others.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with expected travel less than 20%.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$72,900.00 - $131,100.00
An individual’s base pay depends on a number of factors, such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation, such as a performance-based bonus and other short- and long-term incentives. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on one’s first day of employment.
