Job description
The Supply Chain Engineer will develop innovative solutions to solve supply chain problems. These initiatives will drive growth, lower cost, improve service and enhance operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical and leadership skills combined with demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Collects data and performs statistical analysis

Maps and documents processes

Recommends and implements process improvement

Applies company methodologies and tools to design distribution/ transportation operations including staffing, equipment, sizing and layout

May assist with inventory analysis

Establishes performance measures

Assists in communications with internal and external customers to understand business requirements

Supports business development and helps create efficient designs and solutions processes

Determines efficient utilization of resources by analyzing layouts, labor force, equipment, driver and equipment utilization charts

Assists the Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions

Applies various Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.

Preferred 1-2 years of experience in any of the following areas; transportation management, dedicated fleet operations, distribution center management, materials handling, decision support systems, and technology.

Demonstrated data manipulation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

Excellent communications skills.

Experience preparing and presenting oral and written presentations to management and clients

Basic knowledge of supply chain technology

Well-organized with high attention to detail and accuracy

Demonstrated ability to learn technical skills quickly

Understanding of optimization and/or simulation algorithms

Database skills, especially through SQL or Access

Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications, MS Project, AutoCAD and Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Inventory Analysis tools

Experience with routing and scheduling packages and transportation optimization software

Process Mapping

Statistical and/or Transportation Analysis Tools

Mapping analysis tools and/or Simulations preferred

Visual Basic Admin. (VBA) / Sequential Query Language (SQL)
