We are actively looking for a Supplier Performance Management Consultant to join us and support CSAA IG in achieving our goals.

Procurement’s mission is to provide value to the business through our supplier activities. The Supplier Performance Management Consultant will report directly to the Procurement Center of Excellence and is well-versed in the organization's procurement processes and procedures. They will act as the main point of contact for managing supplier performance and the governance created.

They will lead the daily Supplier Performance Management operations, are responsible for Supplier performance reporting and analytics, they will act as the primary liaison to business partners and coordinate internal and external communications on Supplier Performance needs.

Activities – Drive the Supplier Performance program, create segmentation/stratification oversight, produce scorecards, analytics & reporting.

This role is responsible for increasing CSAAs overall capabilities, and consistency, as it relates to managing supplier relationships. This includes the development and delivery of training for business areas across CSAA and acting as a subject matter expert to assist business leaders as they develop their Supplier management skills and/or need assistance with Supplier performance issues or problem solving.

This role will work closely with the business, Third-Party Risk, Legal and Finance to streamline processes, while reducing risk.

This role does not have direct people leadership responsibilities.

Your Role:

Lead the daily Supplier Performance Management operations

  • Build Supplier Performance Management Program based on CSAAs maturity level and need

  • Create a segmentation/stratification tiering to know which suppliers require management

  • Create one preferred avenue for CSAA to communicate to suppliers

  • Maintain and improve existing policies to ensure clarity and applicability

  • As subject matter expert act as a resource to business leaders as they manage supplier relationships, engaging as necessary to solve problems and suggest ways to make improvements.

  • Develop and deliver training for business areas across CSAA to assist business leaders as they develop their Supplier management skills

  • Provide ongoing assistance with Supplier performance issues or problem solving.

  • Take responsibility for a subset of suppliers who need active performance and engagement management

  • Facilitate handoff process of a signed agreement to the business area ensuring a clear understanding of their, and the suppliers’ responsibilities

  • Monitor contracting structures to ensure effectiveness, manageability, and the sharing of trends which may provide opportunities for improvement

  • Internal and external reporting of SLA/scorecard results linked to actions to improve

  • Work closely with the business, Third-Party Risk, Legal and Finance to streamline processes, while reducing risk.

What would make us excited about you?

  • 6+ years of experience in full lifecycle procurement, supplier management, vendor management and sourcing of equivalent combination of Procurement and consulting experience

  • Experience as a Supplier performance manager or Program Manager

  • Prior experience in building or enhancing a Supplier Performance Management program(s) and deep experience and recognition as a SME

  • Proven success increasing Supplier Performance, compliance and expanding the number of suppliers managed across an organization

  • Team player at executive levels who collaborates with business units and functional partners (i.e., IT, finance, HR, legal)

  • Excellent communication skills and listening skills enabling the stakeholders to align with our supplier programs and provide full support

  • Project management skills, the ability to translate supplier performance issues into goals and metrics, and the ability to generate support for programs amongst stakeholders.

  • Ability to implement new programs, technology and change management

  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and industry best practices

  • Strong influence skills across organizations to enable a change in behavior

  • Courage to recommend decisive actions that are not aligned with historical beliefs

Education, Work Experience, Licenses & Certifications

Required Qualification:

  • BS/BA degree in relevant area such as Business Administration, Supply Chain or Finance required or 4 years equivalency in addition to Min Qual Exp or Associates Degree plus 2 years in addition to Min Qual

  • 6+ years of experience in full lifecycle procurement, supplier management, vendor

  • Experience as a Supplier performance manager or Program Manager

The national average salary range for this position is $127,890 - $142,100. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire is $115,200 - $170,600. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
