Opportunity

To directly supervise a rotating shift of hourly shipping/receiving workers engaged in the shipping/receiving of Vikrell molding compound and molded bathing components. Must meet posted shipping schedules while insuring quality, safety, and cost standards are met.

Specific Responsibilities

• Assign labor force to appropriate tasks in line with efficient crewing needs and contractual requirements.
• Insures that all process and quality specifications are followed in the shipping/receiving of scheduled components.
• Responsible to monitor shipping results and insure that budget rates are exceeded.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of process and equipment in order to achieve optimum efficiency.
• Insures that all shift employees are adequately trained in the necessary process procedures to accomplish assignments efficiently.
• Hold or participate monthly safety meetings with shift employees to communicate the importance of safe work practices. Monitor and enforce all safety rules.
• Administer labor contract, plant rules and handle appropriate discipline.
• Continuously strive to improve process, process equipment and procedures.
• Encourage shift employees to improve processes.
• Understand and enforce all procedures related to safe handling of hazardous materials and instruct subordinates in same.
• Trained on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures.

Skills/Requirements

• At least 2 years previous Supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing or production environment.
• College degree preferred but not required.
