Job description
We are looking for an experienced Distribution Center Supervisor with extensive knowledge of picking, shipping and inventory process and procedures. This role is responsible for day-to-day leadership and coaching to create a motivated work environment where employees can excel, consistently meet, or exceed productivity expectations while ensuring customer retention
What you will do:
  • In partnership with the Manager, builds employee engagement and a high performing team by recruiting, training, and retaining the best talent within span of control.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the warehouse operation functions for assigned department.
  • Proactively identifies areas for improvement, builds action plans and seeks opportunities to grow their business and increase customer satisfaction
  • Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse team objectives
  • Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
  • Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
  • Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
  • Conduct inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
What you've done:
  • High school or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two years or more of related high volume fast paced distribution operations experience
  • Two years or more of related inventory control management experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience?
  • Ability to demonstrate “hands on” warehouse tasks as well as being active in the daily warehouse operations
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory control processes
  • Working knowledge of automated warehouse management system
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Macro proficiency preferred)
  • A proven ability to lead others and motivate them to succeed in meeting customer’s needs.
  • Build good partnerships with all areas of the organization by exhibiting excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Detailed oriented and a good problem solver
  • Ability to prioritize, organize effectively and work independently
  • Proven ability to handle change management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills
