DeSilva Gates Construction, Northern California’s established heavy civil engineering contractor, is seeking Superintendents to be a part of our successful management team in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have an extensive portfolio of public and private projects that will provide you with the opportunity to challenge and grow in your career as a Construction Superintendent.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Construction Manager and the Operations Manager, the Construction Superintendent's responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Successful construction and delivery of multiple projects running concurrently
• Managing one or more direct reports
• Understanding our client’s needs and the scope of the project
• Scheduling CPM and 3 Week, and 9 Day
• Pre-costing activities of work
• Conducting site safety surveys to evaluate safety program implementation
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance to ensure Cal-OSHA compliance
• Implement and enforce company and client safety policies
• Other duties as directed by the Construction Manager

Qualifications:

It is desired that the successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience managing safety and construction on civil engineering projects. Candidate must be computer proficient, able to prioritize tasks, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, and team members.
