Summer Youth Job Coach
Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking passionate, versatile Summer Youth Career Coaches to engage and supervise program participants on job sites during the program. The Summer Youth Work Experience is a five-week series where the youth work as a team at different employment locations, giving them the opportunities to explore and create a variety of career building skills. These work experiences are 20 hours per week and the outcome of the services is that the youth should be able to identify areas of interest, learn job seeking process, the ability to meet employers’ expectations related to quality and quantity of work, work behaviors and increase their communication and interpersonal skills. The Summer Youth Career Coaches will lead group-based services with students and youth with disabilities learning vocational skills and appropriate work behaviors. A variety of work experience and knowledge of the current job market is helpful. Awareness of and experience in working with youth with disabilities is desired. Other job functions will include the ability to complete weekly written reports, attend appropriate staff meetings, and display strong consumer advocacy.
