ADVENTURES PLUS - CHILD CARE ASSISTANTS - LANE 2 -
Adventures Plus Summer Program - multiple positions available

Adventures Plus is a child care program providing summer care for elementary and middle school age students and is located in various schools throughout the District.

DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 9 - August 25 - Monday thru Friday, 2 to 8 hours per day (closed July 3 and 4)

SITES: to be determined

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lane 2 Child Care Assistants support children with special needs according to the child's inclusion plan. Supervise and interact with school-age children and assist in planning appropriate activities. Perform a group leadership role if requested. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent.. 120 hours of education in a child related area -or- 12 quarter credits in a child related area -or- completion of the Para Pro Assessment, PLUS six months consistent employment working with children, or 1040 hours of paid experience working with children. Proof of CPI certification, or the ability to pass the CPI class (provided free of charge by Adventures Plus upon hire). . Current First Aid certification or the ability to pass the CPR class (provided free of charge by Adventures Plus upon hire). Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building.

RATE OF PAY: $16.50/hour, $17.25/hour with AA degree. Summer employment does not affect eligibility for insurance, vacation, sick leave, or any other benefit. Assignments will be made based on students needs. There is no sick leave or vacation for summer staff.
