JOB TITLE: Summer Pool Concessions

REPORTS TO: Program Director and/or as assigned

FLSA TYPE: Non-Exempt, Hourly

JOB PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the summer pool staff will administer all functions related to the Bartlesville city pools (Frontier and/or Sooner) concessions and pool entry. They will have a direct focus on serving our community members through great customer service. The summer pool staff at The Richard Kane YMCA creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not a complete list):

• Project YMCA image by personal adherence to all policies.
• Assist patrons with information on hours of operation, rules, special events, rental information, etc..
• Adhere to and collect all set admission and concessions fees.
• Accurately complete daily inventory reports.
• Run reports as requested /needed.
• Receipt money, make daily deposits, open & close shifts in register software.
• Interpret and administer all policies established by the YMCA and City of Bartlesville, to all patrons, employees, etc.
• Assist with emergency situations alongside Lifeguard staff as they arise using all proper, trained skills.
• Address patron concerns in a respectful, understanding manner
• Maintain a safe environment in all patron areas, including pool deck, water slides, locker rooms, etc.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Required:

• 14 years of age.
• Excellent skills in customer service and interactions with others.
• Experience working with computer software programs.
• Experience handling cash.
• Must complete a work permit

Preferred:

• 16 years of age
• Experience in a customer service setting
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid/O2 Certification.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish
