We are hiring Camp Counselors for variety of camps including: Early Childhood Camps (Preschool-2nd Grade), School Age Camp (3rd -8th grade), Sports Camps, and Fine and Performing Arts Camp
We are looking for:
Part Time (Seasonal) Counselors – 7:30-9:30a; 8:30a-4:00p; 2:30p-6:00p (hours and days vary by camp)
Pay rate: $15- $19.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Essential Functions Include:
- Help create and implement a weekly schedule for specified camp group.
- Supervise campers with facilitating program rules, regulations and safety concerns.
- Work collaboratively with other counselors.
- Organize and lead a variety of age appropriate activities each week. Activities may include crafts, nature, songs, games, team-building games, swimming, etc. This includes time spent on the bus and walking to various locations.
- Identify and respond appropriately to camper behavior issues.
- Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and free of litter before and after camp.
- Communicate with parents about participant’s experiences and report concerns to Camp Leadership.
- Maintain accurate program records including incident reports and daily attendance.
- Know and understand all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
- Assist in the resolution of conflicts and/or violations of rules with parents, children, or other parties that relate to the program and its operation.
- Participates in daily camp activities to serve as a beneficial role model to campers.
- Stage and Screen counselors must have significant stage performance and crew experience
- Art Camp counselors must have fine art experience in ceramics, drawing, painting, and design
Requirements
- Must be 15 years or older. (16 years or older preferred for camps for older children)
- Love working with children
- Patient and flexible
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoys having fun
- Team player
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time
- Must pass a background check
Most camps run from June 19th through August 4th, Training the week of June 12th. Staff are expected to work all summer.
