This posting is for an Academic Substitute Instructor.
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the Academic and Training Department. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Responsible for providing intervention math or reading instruction and training to students in the Academic Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Academic Substitute Instructors: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school and a valid in-state teaching certificate required. Previous teaching or Job Corps experience preferred. Experience working in adult education or with at-risk populations is encouraged.
Career Technical Training Substitute Instructors: A minimum of one year experience in teaching or related field required. Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization. Previous Job Corps experience preferred.

n Effective verbal and written communication skills
n Effective organizational skills
n Effective interpersonal skills
n Proficient computer and learning technology skills
n Proficient Classroom instruction and curriculum development
n Ability to interpret data and analyze its use within educational programs
Licenses or Certificates:
n A State Teacher Certificate is required in the State where the Job Corps Center is located.
n A valid Regular Driver License is required.
