Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or general education degree (GED).
• These roles range between AP, project accounting, and certified payroll.
• 2+ years of working experience in accounting within the construction industry is required.
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have excellent attention to detail and a strong desire for accurate written and verbal communication.
• Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Works alongside and supports co-workers with enthusiasm.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn the office operations at A.O. Reed.

Responsibilities

• Process subcontractor project work orders, change orders, and invoices.
• Obtain subcontractor insurance certificates. Must verify the certificates meet company requirements.
• Maintain subcontractor insurance data base.
• Obtain subcontractor certified payroll and maintain subcontractor certified payroll log.
• Knowledge of lien releases, prelims, job costing, etc.

A.O. Reed & Co. is looking for a number of candidates to fill our Subcontractor Compliance and Accounting Specialist job position. A.O. Reed & Co. is a mechanical contractor based in San Diego, California. We have been in business since 1914 and participate in commercial construction within San Diego County. We build and service anything from high-rise buildings to laboratories. A.O. Reed is looking for a candidate that not only assists our operations but becomes a new addition to the A.O. Reed community. All candidates must have previous construction accounting experience. A.O.
