Job Summary

The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) encourages applications for a Subcontract Administrator! This role provides a variety of support to the Subcontracts team, including primary subagreement functions (initiating, processing, closing) and administrative functions to assure compliance with a variety of university, state and federal policies and regulations.

OCG works in partnership with CU Boulder's faculty and staff to prepare and submit proposals, including budgets, for external research funding. OCG has the authorization to negotiate and accept sponsored research agreements on behalf of the Regents, monitor and provide guidance throughout the life of an award, and ensure final project closeout.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Manage the monitoring of the ocgsubcontracts@colorado.edu inbox.
  • Facilitate the management, preparation, review, and approval, prior to coordinating signatures required for sub-agreements, and modifications to existing sub-agreements under the supervision of the Subcontract Manager, as well as processing, implemented sub-agreements.
  • Complete Risk Analysis, compliance verification checklist, budget review and collection of Cost/Price Analysis forms.
  • Analyze, and provide support for, budget verifications, dual execution requirements and award compliance processes for outgoing sub-agreements.
  • Manage and complete administrative closeout of sub-agreements including coordination with external partners (industry representatives, non-profits, foreign entities, and universities) on financial issues and with internal partners (researchers and department administrators) on award stewardship.
  • Manage and complete FFATA reporting for the CU Boulder campus.
  • Capture and analyze audit information from all subawardees subject to an annual audit.
  • Serve as the key staff member for providing the necessary documentation for the tri-annual CPSR audit.
  • Review, verify, enter, and edit data in infoEd and maintain updates for the subaward section of the OCG website.
  • Assist in the development, revision, and finalization of process documentation related to the infoEd system as it relates to the work of the Subcontracts unit. Provide support to team members in meeting this objective.
  • Exercise diligence on compliance matters associated with University subagreements and special projects.

  • This position offers the option of either a hybrid format (virtual and in-person support) or fully remote work based on qualifications and experience.

What We Can Offer

  • The hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $52,200 annually.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a combination of education and/or professional translatable experience such as reviewing and interpreting legal documentation.
  • 2 years of relevant professional experience.
