The University of Portsmouth’s Student Wellbeing Service offers integrated emotional, psychological and mental health support to students in order to help them succeed in their studies. A multi-disciplinary team of professional clinical and support practitioners contributes extensive experience, knowledge and skills from a range of professional backgrounds, including counselling/ psychotherapy, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, mental health nursing, youth work, and drug & alcohol support.

We are now seeking applications from experienced psychological/mental health support professionals for this full time 5 day/week post, with a focus on supporting projects aimed at improving inclusion at the University. The successful applicant will work alongside the other Wellbeing Advisers within the Student Wellbeing Service, supporting students with wellbeing needs, as well as offering additional capacity within the team to support community-building, inclusion-focused work with students. As well as meeting the job description, the successful applicant will therefore be confident working collaboratively with young people to develop projects and/or will have experience or expertise in promoting diversity-awareness and inclusion.
