ASRC needs individuals who are working towards completion of their education requirements in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science.ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services (FAA NAS ESS) contract.
Join our growing team as a Student Trainee Level 2 in support of the FAA’s Beacon/WAM/SBSM team (AJW-1452).
The Beacon/WAM/SBSM team provides support for the FAA’s BI-5 and BI-6 Beacon Interrogator Systems, the FAA’s Wide Area Multilateration (WAM) systems, and the FAA’s Surveillance Broadcast Services Monitor (SBSM) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Performs a mixture of routine and somewhat complex tasks under general direction.
- Assists others in day-to-day operations.
- Applies basic knowledge and limited experience in performing tasks.
- Regularly coordinates with more experienced employees to plan time and use assigned resources to accomplish tasks.
- Regularly solves or refers problems to a more experienced employee for guidance.
- Work is reviewed regularly during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness and all aspects of quality.
- Work activities typically support the work of other employees and contribute to the activities of the organizational unit.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Some limited work experience is a plus.
- Must have successfully completed at least 48 credit hours of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science related education.
- Must be actively working toward completion of an Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science degree.
