Rogue Credit Union is now hiring at its North Medford Student Branch. Applicants must be a current student at North Medford High School in good academic standing with a GPA of at least 2.5 and going into at least their Sophomore year to be eligible.

Students will be required to work 2-3 lunch periods a week in the student branch, and an additional 2-3 in branch shifts a week as well. It is preferred that students will pick up Saturday shifts in the branch.

Rogue Credit Union was founded in 1956 as a teacher’s credit union and the Student Branch Program keeps us in touch with our roots. This program provides a valid work experience for students by providing clear learning objectives that will be achieved. Rogue also gains valuable future employees through this effort.

WORK FROM HOME POSITION LEVEL: None - Work is unable to be completed remotely. A presence in office is required full time.

Role:
Upholds the Credit Unions Vision, Mission, and Values by accurately processes financial transactions and providing information to members through various channels such as the lobby, drive-thru window and/or by telephone. Offers friendly, helpful, and confidential assistance to members ensuring an exceptional experience and minimizing wait time. Creates loyal members by delivering Rogue's Service Promises, and provides unsurpassed member service to every member every moment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
50% Receives and accurately processes member financial transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, transfers, etc., as directed.

10% Responds to member's requests, problems, and complaints and/or directs members to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance. Demonstrates ownership and follow through with all member requests.

10% Collaborates with and assists other departments/branches to maintain unsurpassed service across all areas of the Credit Union.

10% Accurately maintains and balances cash drawer and daily transactions, ATM's, vault, cash/coin vaults, dispensing machines, etc. Fully completes branch-specific opening and closing duties.

10% Collaborates and participates with the high school student branch team and is actively involved in the high school branch tasks and activities.

5% Promotes a culture of deepening member participation by effectively cross-selling credit union products and services to meet the member's needs.

5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.

1. Supports and practices Rogue’s Vision, Mission, Values, and Loyalty Culture. Utilizes the Service Promises with both internal and external members. Embraces Rogue's community involvement program in a positive and proactive manner.

2. Demonstrates empathy, self-reflection, and adjustment of own behaviors, displaying effective emotional intelligence

3. Meets or exceeds established outlined departmental, team, and individual goals to assist in meeting the Credit Union goals and scorecard metrics.

4. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positively communicates with co-workers and members, ensuring that member service is a priority.

5. Maintains an understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures, and demonstrates effective cross-selling to meet the member's needs.

6. Demonstrates time management and ensures all assigned activities within the branch are carried out within the expected time frames and completed accurately.

7. Adheres to and maintains all Credit Union promotional, regulatory and policy compliance requirements including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and any Federal, and State laws.

8. Consistently provides exceptional service demonstrating the Service Promises to create the most loyal members in the nation!

9. Maintains confidentiality with Credit Union information and all other information gathered or received while serving in this position.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: The job can be learned in hours or days or weeks.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

Other Skills: Good communication and listening skills: the ability to manage multiple priorities operate ten-key calculators, must have a good computer, keyboarding, and cash handling skills. Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work. Ability to use a ten-key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.

Physical Requirements: Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.

Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime. Will require working Saturdays and a rotating, flexible schedule. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
