Under the supervision of the Dean of Student Success, the Student Success Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of Early College programs, campus-wide activities, programs and services to support the transition, retention and completion of students. The Student Success Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in student services, education administration or related field. Master’s preferred. Minimum two years of experience in higher education, direct student service, or related field. Experience in program development and student integrated systems also required.

Qualifications
The Student Success Specialist will access, monitor and track the needs for students, recommends new initiatives to meet students’ needs to support student retention and success; develop, implement programs and assess programs and services that lead to retention, completion, and success of new and continuing students; cultivate and oversee partnerships with middle schools, high schools and 4-year post secondary institutions in order to support student access to dual credit and dual enrollment opportunities; assist with coordination, planning and implementation of Early College programs, Financial Literacy, Parent/Family Orientation; assist the coordinator of veteran services; maintain general knowledge of career and transfer programs, must have excellent project management and communication skills, both oral and written; full computer proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point; plus other duties as assigned. Must have a track record demonstrating dedication to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Some evening hours may be needed to support programming.
