Per Diem, Various Shifts and Hours/week.

Pay Range is between $24.94-$37.40/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience. **Range includes Per Diem differential. +$2.50/hr for evening and weekend shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform all aspects of diagnostic radiological studies, consistently producing the highest quality exams possible. Perform work under indirect and direct supervision by a Certified Radiologic Technologist. Flexible schedule that fits the needs of the department and abilities of the student. This position is independent of clinical rotations and does not provide clinical hours.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education or Formal Training

  • Must be within the final four months of training from a School of Radiology as verified by transcript or letter from school.
  • Per the Code of Colorado Regulations “A graduate from an ARRT- Recognized program shall be granted ninety (90) calendar days from the date of graduation to schedule, take and pass the ARRT radiologic technology registry examination”

Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)

  • BLS certified through the American Heart Association

Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  • Must have basic understanding and knowledge of human physiology
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Able to think critically and adapt exam routines and techniques to optimize quality of exams.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with Radiologists and other physicians
  • Must have computer and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of sterile preparation and procedures.

Experience

  • Must be within four months of completion of a Radiological Technology degree

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide quality patient care
  • Clean equipment
  • Perform exams using good judgment while radiographing and documenting
  • Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards.
  • Is familiar with organization, department and job specific Environment of Care areas, including Life Safety, Utilities Management, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and Medical Equipment Failure.
  • Adheres to Standard Precautions as appropriate, which may include:
    • The use of protective barriers, as appropriate (e.g., gloves, masks, gowns, pocket masks, and/or safety glasses);
    • Handling and disposing of infectious waste appropriately; and
    • Handwashing as appropriate.
