Job Title: Store Manager

About Us:

We are so much more than a Parts Store and we are looking for even more great talent to join our NAPA family! We are seeking an experienced and high energy Store Manager to join our growing auto parts team.

About the Role:

The store manager provides daily leadership and establishes a work experience in the store that enables NAPA to be the dominant parts supplier in the market. Additionally, achieves maximum market penetration, drive store growth, and increase sales and profitability by creating a superior customer experience, and a culture of employee engagement. Position reports to the Area Manager.

  • Execute plans designed to engage and develop employees, consistently delivers superior customer experiences, and achieves business results.
  • P&L responsibility and mapping out initiatives and business plans for the store and solving roadblock issues.
  • Ensure that proper processes and procedures are utilized to minimize inventory shrinkage.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment and ensure that required safety training occurs in a timely fashion.
  • Understand, interpret, and comply with Company policies.
  • Use company training materials and resources to help train employees.
  • Help create and sustain a workplace that is respectful of the individual and builds teamwork.
  • Build trusting and productive working relationships with others and coach employees on how to build relationships as well.
  • Partner with HR in the areas of hiring, development, coaching, and employee recognition.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated leadership in the automotive after-market service industry, preferably in an automotive parts department, dealership, jobber, or retail establishment. Experience in heavy duty parts and service, or paints, is also a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field preferred.
  • In Lieu of degree, at least three years of retail management experience is acceptable.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and active listening communication skills
  • Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
