POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs the function of a Sterile Processing Tech under the direction of department supervisor and RN clinical nurse director. Thoroughly inspects, cleans, assembles and wraps instruments according to principles of sterilization. Processes outdated supplies. Monitors and records appropriate quality assurance documentation. Maintains appropriate sterile technique. Works as a team member to assure quality patient care. Assists in keeping the unit clean and organized.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Preferred:

  • One-year prior medical-related experience.
  • Complete online Sterile Processing Course within 3 months of employment.

None

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Pay Range: $1.00 - $100.00

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
