MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operates production equipment, with assistance.
• Monitors and recommends improvements to the area as needed.
• Complies with Company and area safety policies and practices.
• Interfaces with quality assurance to insure product quality.
• Maintains accurate production and equipment operation records.
• Performs tests and measurements on parts, with some assistance, to insure product quality.
• Assists in picking, transporting and exchanging of materials, supplies and parts.
• Supports and fosters active participation in, and complies with, corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and Expectations Handbook and complies with the Management Systems Manual.
• Completes on the job and specialized training as required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be mobile.
• Must be able to stand or sit for most of shift.
• Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and not be color blind.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Ability to perform basic math.
• Demonstrated proficiency with basic calculator.
• Legible handwriting.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to pass: basic blueprint reading (BPR-101) in-house training class.

COMPETENCIES

• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to do simple multi-tasking while meeting out-put requirements.
• Ability to understand quality standards to identify quality problems/issues while following procedures.
• Ability to comply with EMS and safety regulations.
• Ability to understand basic Stamping industry standards.
• Ability to recognize common Stamping defects.

JOB CONDITIONS

This position requires long periods of sitting and/or standing. This position is performed on all shifts during all hours, as the department functions around the clock.
