Staffing Coordinator- Part-Time

General Description

The Staffing Scheduler will work with the team to ensure adequate numbers of nursing and care staff are scheduled on each shift, will manage timecard processing, support compliance with policies and procedures outlined by Martha & Mary and Washington State Labor Laws.

Wage is from $16.50/hr. up to $18.20/hr. based off years of applicable experience as determined by HR and the hiring manager

Schedule:

*7am-3pm 3/days a week, and 1 weekend a month*

As a member of the scheduling team, duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Complete, update and maintain staffing schedules for nursing staff, transportation, restorative and the staffing office.
  • Complete, update and maintain the Open Shift Calendar.
  • Strive to fill shifts with appropriate staff when staff call off duty.
  • Assist with scheduling emergency transportation (i.e. snow days) when needed.
  • Coordinate new nursing staff orientations with mentors.
  • Process, review, approve and maintain timekeeping slips/communications as required
  • Record and track nursing staff attendance issues; provide data to Managers weekly for completion of Corrective Action Notices.
  • Track planned versus actual staffing.
  • Track license/certifications and notify staff whose license/certification are due to expire.
  • Conduct rounds to each unit as necessary to collect outgoing mail, timekeeping slips and census reports and communicate with staff
  • Update and post census/staffing as required.

  • Reliable attendance for scheduled hours and the willingness to be flexible in covering additional hours, including weekends and other shifts when able. This part-time schedule does require some weekend availability.

Required Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Experience in customer service and/or long-term care helpful but not required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Eagerness to learn new skills and systems and meet people
  • Ability to plan and coordinate schedules
  • Ability to read and interpret practice standards, procedures and government standards and regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer experience (Microsoft applications, etc.)
  • Basic mathematical skill
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
