Orion Engineers, PLLC is seeking a Staff Engineer to assist our Transportation Engineering team in delivering engineering services on existing projects and pursuing new opportunities. At Orion Engineers, you will have the opportunity to continue to hone your technical skills working on a wide variety of engineering projects while gaining broad exposure to project accounting, client service, marketing, and product and business development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with a dynamic team of engineers on a diverse range of projects, Staff Engineers at Orion assist the Transportation team in various tasks by researching, compiling, and examining a variety of transportation data. You will support Transportation Engineering studies focusing on transportation systems planning, travel demand modeling, traffic analysis, traffic engineering, and transportation policy. Specific tasks could include:

You will support Transportation Engineering studies focusing on transportation systems planning, travel demand modeling, traffic analysis, traffic engineering, and transportation policy. Specific tasks could include:
- Traffic impact studies
- Safety studies
- Planning and forecasting
- Transit and non-motorized studies
- Freeway and corridor operational evaluation using state-of-the-art software
- Signal timing and optimization studies and signal design
- Technical writing
- 0-4 years of prior experience in Transportation Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Construction Management from an ABET-accredited institution
- Ability to work independently and take the initiative to perform tasks
- CADD experience
- Valid Driver’s License
