This position is responsible for executing financial, operational, compliance, and information systems audits in accordance with the annual internal audit plan. This position will be directly responsible for control evaluation, test activities, issue identification, review, resolution and internal audit reporting for assigned audit objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a solid understanding of the Company’s financial, operational, and compliance processes and controls and related information systems
• Assist Internal Audit (IA) Manager with developing and implementing audit programs and procedures and sampling methodologies
• Execute financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits
• Perform interviews and walkthroughs; document processes and related controls through flowcharts and narratives
• Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls by performing audit procedures and make appropriate recommendations for remediation of any identified control deficiencies
• Assess the efficiency of operations and make appropriate recommendations for improvements
• Prepare work papers and communicate audit observations and recommendations to management
• Assist IA Manager with the preparation of presentations to the Audit Committee
• Provide assistance with consulting projects, special investigations, and/or special projects as requested by management or the Audit Committee. Such activities may include reviews for prevention and detection of potential fraud or to develop internal control recommendations
• Participate in risk assessments and the development and ongoing monitoring of a risk management program

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor degree in business or related fields, required; MAcc or MBA preferred

Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:

• Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and internal control practices

Computer Skills / Special Equipment Knowledge:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Office equipment and/or point of sale equipment experience required/desired
