Due to an abundance of growth, our community-oriented clients are seeking Staff Attorneys to fill multiple openings throughout New York State. You would have the chance to assist clients with essential life casework in the areas of housing, public benefits, unemployment insurance, employment, education, consumer, and/or other civil matters.

Qualification requirements are as follows:

• J.D. and NYS Bar Admission (you will be considered if you have successfully passed the NYS Bar exam and formal admission is pending)
• Two or more years of legal experience, including litigation, is ideal but entry level professionals will be considered
• Demonstration of commitment and empathy while assisting those in under-served communities
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Strong analytical, research, legal writing and advocacy skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple cases
• The capability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Fluency in a second language is an advantage, but not required
• Must be able to be employed as a W-2 associate as work eligibility visa sponsorship is not available, at this time
